France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Rather pale colour, straw yellow with a hint of green. The nose is pure, medium high intensity aromatically, showing some notes of pear and quince, with some floral hints and some spicy notes in there too, quite mineral I would say, it has some stony notes in there, and hints of licorice and citrus zest. The palate feels quite dry, it’s a rather bold texture, feels like a warm climate white, has a hint of grape bitterness as well, balanced bitterness which gives a nice lift, gives freshness to the palate. Medium towards full-bodied, with notes of pear, quince, then we have some of those spicy notes of licorice and citrus following up. I would call this rather moderate in terms of acidity, but it’s made in a bone-dry style. The finish is fresh, with a medium long finish.
