France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Rather medium-high straw yellow towards light golden colour, pure nose, very intense, we have some floral notes going on, some hints of chamomile, we have quite opulent fruit on the nose, almost like one of those aromatic varieties like Viognier, with quite lush honeyed stone fruits, yellow plum. The palate is rather lush and bold, with a medium high acidity, but it’s still classically dry which gives a good sense of freshness. Rather opulent texture, with that honeyed yellow stone fruit. We have some notes of grapefruit zest going on. Nicely made, I find it interesting in a rather Southern French style, with a modern clean vinification, lifting that opulent fruit and giving a good dose of freshness. Attractive to drink rather young, but it has the structure to be aged for a few more years.
