Still a dark inky purple core and lighter ruby rim. The nose offers both ripeness and maturity with a layered spiciness, liquorice, incense, tobacco with blackberry, plum, and some meaty notes. The palate shows good density and weight with a rounded texture, lenty of grainy tannin, a mild acidity, spicy dark fruit and long lingering finish.
