France,
Rhone Valley,
Red wine with a dense core, dark purple, still very youthful. Intense nose, showing off new oak, some roasted coffee notes. There’s a lot of spiciness there, white pepper cinnamon, clove, with cassis, blackberry. Still youthful on the palate, dense fruit, dense core of that dark inky ripe fruit, tannins well integrated already. The oak is not too evident on the palate. balanced alcohol and a nice level of fresh acidity, Good potential here, pure fruit, good quality. I think this is still a bit young, a style that has the potential to develop for quite a lot of years? But nice result, spicy meaty Syrah, dark fruity style. Good!
