France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Deep red core, slightly more evolution on the rim, quite high viscosity, coloured legs. Fine nose, good intensity, good development. Very spicy, with clove, pepper, violet, some floral notes, and sweet dark fruits. Good density on the palate, still a bit youthful, we have hints of tannins protruding there but still well integrated, giving a lift to that lovely sweet fruit, blackberry, plum, again we have some smoke, some meaty notes, very much like ripe Syrah to me. Still youthful freshness, acidity feels quite high, but the oak is perfectly integrated on the palate. So quite accessible actually, nice long finish, quite persistent with that sweet spiciness emerging on the finish. Nice wine.
