Switzerland,
Valais,
Quite high colour intensity here, just about transparent dark ruby-red. Quite exotic nose. This one displays quite a high spiciness, with notes of some dried herbs, sage, almost like a hint of mint, there are some dried spices and quite dark fruit, in the direction of black currant and dark cherry. The palate has a high density. Still quite gripy with rather pronounced tannin, still a bit on the firm and dry side. So quite full-bodied in total. Also with a youthful and elegant acidity. So the extract still feels a bit high, but the oak is not too noticeable on the taste. Juicy dark fruit, in the direction of blackcurrant, with some of those spicy notes of pepper, anise seed and a little bit of liquorice. So a long finish. I would say a wine with potential. It still appears a bit youthful and tight on the finish. But it should surely develop really well.
