Switzerland,
Valais,
Very youthful appearance here, blue-purple, quite high intensity. Nice nose here, quite intense with youthful aromas of crushed dark berries, blackberry particularly. With some red fruity notes as well. Mild spiciness like orange peel, ginger, clove. Quite fine hint of oak and some fresh pepper. The palate has a good density, good concentration of fruit. Not the most bold or full-bodied, but nice flavour intensity, combining those crushed blackberries with some red fruit. Elegant mild spiciness. Well integrated oak already. It seems like a very youthful wine, but the tannins are already nicely integrated. Quite grainy. There are some fine hints of vanilla and chocolate on the mid-palate. Good length as well. Really attractive with juicy fruit, nice drinkability. However, I think it is still a wine that has the potential to develop more complexity and grace over the coming years. Bloody good.
