Youthful red wine with a dense dark ruby core. Fresh nose, showing red berries, dark berries, some spicy notes of ground black pepper, clove, some smoky notes; very fine oak. Quite full body, very nicely textured, with dried tannin, dense, juicy dark berry fruit with those very powdery tannin. Discreet wood still adding a touch of smokiness, fine notes of black pepper. Well-preserved acidity, good ripeness of fruit, finely integrated wood, and a long spicy finish. Very nice.
