Red wine with a medium to deep colour, still very youthful with a blue-purple tinge. Nose is also youthful, indicating good ripeness there, with a rather sweet fruity character, rather like a dark plum mainly, quite mild spices and a slight hint of oak. Good weight here, really full-bodied, with a quiet rounded texture, there is rather finely distributed tannins here, a lot of that quiet anxious, sweet, dark, ripe fruit. Some notes of cassis with dark plummy flavours. The oak is quite settled as well. Good freshness as well, backing up that dried fruit. It is obviously a high degree of ripeness, it feels more like a warm climate style. I like the freshness in this one, it also has a very good length. Still youthful, it will develop more complexity, but still a nice mouthful of ripe fruit.
