Spain,
Catalunya,
Youthful red wine, with a quiet intense colour, medium towards deep here with a youthful blue-purple tinge. It starts out quite discreetly on the nose, but with some aeration it opens up and it offers a wealth of really ripe dark fruit; like wild berries, dark plum and wild berry notes. There is a slight hint of vanilla in the background, but a very gentle touch. Quiet full on the palate here, there is good weight, still pretty youthful, a bit unresolved in terms of fruit, with the tannic presence. I talk about a good level of acidity backing up that ripe fruit, really like those fresh, dark berries. Quite a long finish as well, a good structure, just still a bit youthful for my taste. I would like to put this back in the cellar for another one to two years to open up, but it should develop quite nicely.
