Inky purple towards a black core and hue. Redolent with layers of fine oak, toast, almond, dark chocolate, violet, black cherry and blackberry. The palate shows plenty of concentration and layers, modest extraction and grainy tannins, mouth-filling with gently toasted black fruit, a vigorous, lingering finish, still youthful, but a stylish wine built for long ageing.
