France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a slightly developed colour here, we have a medium-deep ruby nuance and a slightly tawny rim. The nose is showing some maturity. I would talk about a traditional style here, no evident oak; with some hints of red currant, cranberry, some herbal notes as well, some leather. Palate has medium weight, with a quite austere texture; we still have some protruding tannin here. High acidity, with red fruit like sour cherry or cranberry, some herbal notes. Some complex spiciness on the finish, like leather and dry spices. Quite long finish actually. I think it’s a wine that is made in a traditional style without any oak influence, that needs some time to come around for the tannins to soften; I think this still could benefit from another few years in the cellar. So, conclusion: traditional wine, quite good grip, medium weight but with dense fruit, young tannin, quite long finish. Put back in the cellar for one or two years.
