Château Canon La Valade – 2012

Red wine with a medium toward ruby-red colour, still appearing youthful with a slight hint of purple. Floral notes; with some notes of rose petal, violet, wild berries and plum. Good density and gripe on the palate, it is a nice density of fruit there, freshly crushed red berries and plum. With a lot of spiciness there; like cardamon, cinnamon, vanilla, fine oak. I think it has quite attractive and juicy texture. Quite finely grained tannin, still without a huge concentration; rather I would say mid-weight. Good length, persistent with good freshness on the finish. Really nice drinkability right now. Doubtlessly with potential to develop further.
