France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a dense ruby-red core, some evolution towards the rim indicating a certain age. The nose feels quite mature here; the fruit is more towards the dried fruit like prune, dried berries, with some hints of oak and vanilla. Medium weight on the palate, still with a slightly dried fruit character, and rather dominated now by tannin and acidity, so more extract than fruit. It has a certain length, quite towards long, but now I think it lacks some fruit and finishes off a bit on the dry side; so definitely a wine to which I would prefer to give some more aging, to give some more roundness and charm.
