France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a quite deep ruby red nuance, fairly young at the core with just a slight watery rim. Very expressive nose, a lot of roasted notes here; coffee beans, some wood, vanilla. Quite modern style here with sweet red fruit, plum. Nice density of fruit here, the fruit is really dominating, and I think the extract in terms of tannins and acidity is well-integrated, quite elegant now with some nuance and complexity . Good level of freshness, it feels like a wine that just pretty much opened up and went from primary fruit into a second stage of maturity here; I get some more undergrowth, some nutty leathery notes, but still I would say well-made in a quite polished style here. Nicely rounded. Medium weight, not the most bold but I like the density of fruit and it has a good persistence. A fine wine with a good level of drinkability today actually.
