Dense purple core and a rim starting to fade. Mature nose showing some new oak, dried fruit notes - prune, fig, dried herbs and aniseed. Dense palate, slightly extracted with grippy tannin, peppery dried fruit flavours, rather long a bit restrained finish. Still needing some time to open.
