France,
Bordeaux,
Quite youthful wine here, with a high colour intensity, purple-black core. Intense nose. Good purity. Rather an emphasis on fruit here. Much darker fruit character; with mainly cassis, dark plum, some liquorice and discreet oak. Good grip on the palate here. Rather full-bodied and quite rigid in terms of texture. I like it a lot because this is a wine that combines the dense fruitiness. Quite high level of tannin, but rather rounded and polished. I would say it is actually a quite good drinkability already. Let's continue with that beautiful dark fruit cassis, dark plum. Present, but not harsh tannin I would say. Good level of freshness, combining power and freshness. There is a hint of oak emerging on the palate. It wasn't really that noticeable on the palate. Good length as well. Nice potential here. It should certainly become better after another two to three years in the cellar. I wouldn't hesitate to drink it today, particularly with something nice and hearty like a juicy steak or a juicy piece of entrecote or anything in that direction.
