France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Red wine with a youthful deep colour, the core is rather dark purple ruby, high viscosity colouring the glass. The nose is youthful, fresh, with a medium intensity; here I get some hints of vanilla, freshly ground pepper, mixed with sweet plum and crushed berries, rather Southern French notes I would say. Palate has medium weight, a bit more; it has good volume, but the tannins are quite powdery, already well integrated, with a well-maintained acidity. So fresh palate, still with ripe fruit with some notes of blackberry, plum, ground white pepper, and those sweet spices. Juicy and attractive with a medium towards long aftertaste, with some of those peppery and that Southern French herbal spiciness on the finish. Attractive already now, but certainly with the potential to develop over the coming 2-3 years.
