France,
Burgundy,
Medium deep ruby core, a hint of purple in there indicating a certain youth. Sweet nose, pure, with red fruit, mild spices, a hint of wood; a slight hint of vanilla, some notes of leather. Medium weight, soft and supple texture, well-balanced with a still youthful acidity, very soft tannin. Sweet red berry fruit. Already well rounded, I find it quite juicy with a fine drinkability right now. On the finish it’s still a bit on the youthful side, I would like the acidity to just integrate bit more. Like most great Pinot Noir in Burgundy this will develop roundness and complexity with age, but I find it being a very well-made style with that delicious delicate red fruit, fresh and vibrant.
