Château de Santenay – Clos de La Chaise Dieu Monopole – 2013

Pale straw colour, slight tinge of green. Fresh nose, rather neutral fruit, more on the mineral side, with lemon, lime, quince. Rather light bodied on the palate, bone dry, good grip. Youthful freshness, rather elevated acidity. Flavours of citrus zest, green apple. Nicely balanced in this fresh youthful style. A wine that could develop in the coming few years but probably drinks best rather early on.
