France,
Bordeaux,
Quite a deep colour, dark ruby-red with a dense core. Fine nose, good intensity and ripeness. Showing some development, quite modern and fleshy I would say. With some meaty notes, slightly plum, dark plum and blackberry, with a slight hint of oak. Also some leather and dried spices, but mostly on the fruity side. Good grip on the palate. Medium towards full in terms of weight and structure. Still youthful, there is a good deal of tannin there, but starting to integrate now. Not appearing harsh in any way but still quite a lot of extract. Pleasant fruit there, quite opulent style. Well-integrated oak. Medium towards long finish. A wine I think would continue to develop for a few years. Could be drunk from now on and developed over the coming three to four years.
