Rosé wine, quite classically pale style, just a hint of onion skin, copper. Rich nose, quite intense with the presence of oak, I don’t normally get that so much in rosé but it’s not obtrusive in any way, we just get some roasted hints, some roasted nuts, slight hints of vanilla; then I pick up some grapefruit, citrus zest, and some red berry notes. Good grip on the palate, classically dry, rather bone-dry, so good bite on the palate, quite salivating. Medium-high rounded acidity, but I still think the extract gives grip and structure in this one. So citrus, red berry fruit; oak is noticeable. Still feels very young on the palate, maybe this oaked style should have some more time to integrate the oak a bit more. Otherwise I think it’s fairly well-made with a fairly long finish, good freshness and purity of fruit.
