Dark garnet core with a lighter ruby rim. Complex nose showing some evolution and complexity with clove, pepper, meaty notes, leather, tobacco and ripe red fruit. Structured and dense palate, a backbone of tannins having reached a good degree of polish, adding freshness, complex spiciness and layers where ripe red fruit gets a lot of spice, smoke and pepper, intense and long finish, all underlined by a vital freshness. Good now but certainly a "vin de garde".
