France,
Bordeaux,
Very youthful appearance here, with blue-purple, medium deep, blue-purple nuance. Pure nose, displaying quite ripe fruit here, with freshly crushed dark berries, such as cassis and plum. Almost an exotic spiciness like mint, sage and bay leaf. Pleasant fruitiness and quite discreet oak. Nice palate. Quite good weight here. Good density of fruit, already a rather rounded texture. There is still a present of tannin but they are quite finely grained. Juicy dark fruit, youthful and fresh acidity as well. I like the spiciness. I didn’t pick up any oak on the nose, but there is slight roastedness on the palate. It adds a dimension of vanilla, pepper and clove. Quite an attractive wine with good length and a fine combination of really dark fruit, dark juicy fruit, but good level of freshness as well. I would say this is quite modern vinification. Subtle and juicy. A wine to be drunk fairly early but obviously with the potential to be kept for some time. Quite attractive.
