France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine, very intense colour, really inky core, almost opaque with a lighter ruby rim; but still appearing very concentrated and dense. Intense nose as well, very ripe; but at the same time elegant. I am finding some hints here of some floral notes like violet, then we have some black truffle. A slight mineral sensation, with beautiful dark fruit; like blackberry, cassis, dark cherry. Very dense and concentrated palate here. Really good weight. Intense, but truly balanced. I think of this a wealth of the opulent fruit, paired with the fine grainy tannins. Good level of freshness as well. A very fine harmony today. Really lushes fruit, and a very long finish. Certainly a wine with high pedigree. Something that will continue to develop for many, many years. But it is quite nice already today, because I like the aromatic complexity that is already starting to show, that fine spiciness, those hints of black truffle and then with just having that mouth-full of rich and opulent fruit. High potential and an excellent wine.
