France,
Bordeaux,
Quite youthful colour here with a purple core. Quite dark ruby-red on the rim. Youthful on the nose with pure fruit. Some roasted notes here. Indicating new oak, some vanilla, a slight toastiness. There is ripe plum here with a mix of red and dark berries and a quite mild spiciness. Quite concentrated on the palate. Combining bright and fresh fruit flavours with a quite elevated acidity. So good purity here with a mouth-watering sensation. Tannins are present but quite rounded. I pick up some more spicy notes on the palate, with dried spice, white pepper, some ginger. Quite long on the finish. A dense style in a slightly slimmer vintage. With good drinkability today and for the coming few years. Attractive fruit and a well retained modern style.
