Dark ruby colour with a purple hue. Intense nose, new oak some roasted and caramel notes with ripe/jammed fruit, a hint of garrigue and sage. The palate is bold with sweet fruit, kirsch, new oak and roasted notes. Still rather tannic with a slightly austere finish but should improve.
