France,
Bordeaux,
Dense core with a purple hue and a lighter rim. The nose is finely toasted with coffee bean, mild spices and dark fruit notes like cassis, plum with some aromatic herbs. The palate is nicely rounded, dense core of fruit with ripe tannin, finely integrated oak, layers of savoury fruit with sage, bay leaf, mocha and a well-preserved freshness underneath, and a long and lingering finish. A fine example already showing balance and drinkability even thought it should improve a lot from ageing.
