Dense dark purple colour. Youthful nose of sweet kirsch, cassis and ripe berries with a slight herbal spiciness. Dense palate, slightly austere with a firm tannic bite, some herbal spice flavours, crushed dark berries, a hint of wood and rather good length. A classic style built for ageing needing time to develop.
