France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Dense dark ruby core, rather viscous with a lighter rim. The nose is mature and meaty with some leather, spice and pepper paired with sweet plum and jammed dark berries. Rather dense palate with a nice meatiness, plenty of spice and a good backbone of tannin acidity giving a lift to the southern ripe fruit. Long, warm and fleshy finish with notes of garrigue and berry confiture.
