France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful wine here, with a very dark and inky core, slightly ruby toward the rim. Intense nose. Very fine, quite modern style there, underlined by some roasted oak, layers of dark fruit with a blackberry, cassis, dark cherry notes. Still youthful mostly on that primary fruit. Gentle hint of sweet spices. Very nice palate there; good degree of concentration, but good concentration because the extraction is not too harsh there. Finely grained tannin. The oak you feel on the palate is well integrated as well, some toasted, some coffee flavour. Excellent freshness all along as well. A bit youthful on the finish. Still a bit unresolved, but very ambitious and convincing with a very good length and purity of fruit. A wine that will definitely develop and become much better with age.
