France,
Bordeaux,
Medium towards deep ruby-red, still with a purple core. Good purity on the nose. Good intensity. Finly roasted here. It is not burnt it is more like finely roasted coffee beans and slight hint of vanilla. In terms of fruitiness, I would say, it is a moderate level of ripeness, so combining red and darker fruit. Plum, red currants, aromatic spiciness like bay leaf and sage and sweet red berries. But really fine oak here. Palate has medium weight. It appears quite young, but the texture already feels quite rounded without any hard edges. Juicy and succulent fruit, elegant sweet red fruit, raspberry, plum. Those roasted coffee beans are still on the palate, contributing to a nice spiciness on the finish. Which is pretty much on the longer side. So medium weight and density but still persistent on the finish. I would say this is already a wine that offers pleasure. Nicely approachable, but certainly with the potential to go on for another ten years. So a fine example.
