France,
Bordeaux,
Pale youthful colour, pale straw with a green hue. Very pure nose. Very intense, very youthful. A lot of green aromas like; green walnuts, with fresh herbs, green apple, lime, lemon. Very much in the direction of Sauvignon, but slightly riper style I would say. Very bright palate. I would give it medium weight. So it is not the lightest style when you think of that variety or that style of blend. Good grip on the palate. Really zesty and fresh acidity. With lemon and lime zest, apple and pear. There is a lot of herbal elements, but not like unripe. Rather ripe herbs, giving a lift to the palate almost like mint. Yeah, a slightly minty note. No oak to talk about. Perhaps a gentle hint in the background, but it is mainly a fruity expression. Bright freshness, a medium towards long finish. Good clarity, good purity. Delicious today and I suppose a style that should be best drunk fairly young.
