France,
Bordeaux,
Moderately intense colour here, with a ruby-red nuance. Quite traditional nose here, with a rather wood then roasted oak. Just a little bit of some spicy notes, dried spices, some hint of herbs, wood, plum and cassis. It appears a little bit developed. There is some slight notion of dried fruit. Palate has medium weight. It has some quite nice fruit there, some notes of prune, with some hints of cassis. There is a nicely firm backbone, but I think this is starting to soften and round off now. So I would call this a quite traditional Bordeaux style, without any evident oak. It has good freshness, quite long finish. It should certainly become a bit more polished from further cellaring. However, some decanting, some aeration, with a nice juicy steak, it should really open up and offer a nice glass of wine.
