France,
Bordeaux,
So we have a red wine with a fairly youthful still with a purple core, medium towards deep ruby-red, but still transparent. The nose is pure with some floral hints, rather violet with quite dark berry fruit, some red plum. Mild spiciness and discreet wood. Palate has medium weight with a youthful and fresh acidity. Quite rounded tannin. So rather mild in terms of extract. Slight hint of oak in the background with a mild spiciness of vanilla and clove. Attractive fruit. Medium towards long finish. Fairly approachable today. Certainly a style that will gain some more flesh and complexity over the coming years. Could be easily drunk today after a few minutes of decanting.
