Dark purple core with a lighter rim. Ripe nose of dark fruit, blackberry, cherry, some new oak and mild spices. Medium weight with a dense texture, still youthful with a tannic presence, generous fruit and well-integrated oak, a fresh backbone, and a rather long finish. Nicely balanced just a bit on the youthful side.
