Dark purple core and hue. The nose shows some new oak and toast with ripe dark fruit, pepper and leather. Dense palate, rather high extraction with rigid tannin, sweet dark fruit and a good dose of oak, vanilla and toast, structured and long, ambitious but still a bit extracted and oaky needing time to open.
