France,
Provence,
Red wine with a youthful very inky core here, purple-blue core. Still quite youthful on the nose here, mainly a primary fruit, fruit-driven style; not a lot of oak. I get some floral notes here, like violet; and then we have dark berries like blackberry and plum. Quite a nice palate here, it’s medium weight, not a lot of extract; it has a good sense of freshness. I think it’s a soft extraction here, I get some peppery notes, fine spices, pepper, with that floral-infused dark plum and blackberry fruit. Very nice juiciness I would say, rounded texture, no hard edges whatsoever. It’s still very youthful but I like this charming upfront juicy drinkability. It has a certain length as well. Slight hint of tannin on the finish, but not hard in any way; it’s just a wine that will certainly develop some more complexity over the coming 4 to 5 years, but I would happily drink it today.
