France,
Loire Valley,
Light golden colour, light towards medium I would say. With a good brightness. Intense nose, quite pure. It exudes a lot of honey, slightly honeyed fruit. It is not really that ripe tropical yellow fruit, more like sweet apple, quince, pear. Of course obviously, on the nose, it is displaying some botrytis affection, with some saffron and almond. Good grip on the palate. This is obviously a sweet wine, but not immensely sweet, but it still has a high degree of sweetness. What I like is, very much the impression on the palate is fresh, because it does have a really nice and mouth-watering acidity. Then same fruit characters on the nose, more like ripe apple, pear. Not that super ripe or tropical fruit. Really good length, good purity. I would really put this in the category of a sweet wine to enjoy rather with a starter then your dessert. So a very fine wine.
