France,
Loire Valley,
Beautiful brightness, light to medium deep golden nuance. Very intense nose here. Evidently botrytis over-ripeness here. The purity of fruit is good. I pick up a lot of stone fruit here, like peach, apricot and yellow plum, with some honeyed notes. Not really caramel but just like sweet honey. I still get a sensation of freshness and slight stony minerality as well. There is a tremendous bite on the palate. Very high sweetness indeed. The wine actually appears equally fresh as sweet. Underlined by a very vital acidity. Good extract as well. Really powerful with a very long persistent finish. With layers of ripe yellow fruit, honey, saffron, almond. What we usually find in these wines. But a fine balance, it is still really youthful. I enjoy thoroughly today, but it should definitely continue to age for 15, 20 or 25 more years. Delicious indeed.
