Château La Varière – Les Melleresses – 2015

Deep golden colour with an orange hue. Intense and fragrant nose with layers of honey, beeswax, cloudberries, apricot, quince and ripe pear and some flinty/stony presence, nice purity and freshness. The palate is gorgeous with the unctuous sweetness being underlined by a bright acidity, lovely yellow fruit notes, a mild nutty/spiciness with hints of fresh almond and a long lingering and fresh finish. Pure and precise with lovely fruit.
