France,
Loire Valley,
Quite youthful appearance slight hint of purple, medium-deep intensity. Attractive nose, good purity of fruit. Combining mostly red fruit, like redcurrant, raspberry, plum, with a slight herbal spiciness. No evidence of oak, but good purity and freshness. Medium weight on the palate with a good grip. Youthful but ripe tannin. Fresh acidity. Quite delicious red fruit on the mid-palate. Freshly crushed raspberries, cherry, redcurrant. Quite long and lingering finish. I like the combination because it keeps within this medium-bodied frame, but it has really nice density of fruit. Within the coming year, it should easily develop some more harmony and complexity.
