Château La Varière – Vieilles Vignes – 2017

Inky dark purple colour. Youthful nose, fresh dark berry fruit, violet, cassis and some herbal spiciness. Dense, vigorous and youthful palate, rather full, a rigid tannic backbone without hard edges, savoury dark fruit, sage and mint notes with a long and lingering finish. Good potential, drink after 2021.
