Dark garnet with a purple hue and lighter rim. The nose offers some toast and oak-derived spice with smoke, pepper, clove, vanilla and darker fruit like plum and blackberry. The alate is dense with fine grain, mild extraction, balanced oak, spicy dark fruit with good layers and a long fleshy finish.
