Very dense and inky core, almost opaque. Layered nose, fragrant dark fruit, violet notes, blackberry, plum and discreet oak. The palate has a nice density and texture, high level of tannin but no hard edges, digest dark fruit, notes of crushed berries and cassis with mild spices like clove and aniseed, and a dense, vigorous and long finish. Dense and texture for long ageing, fairly layered and approachable but will continue to develop for a long time.
