Château L’Argilus du Roi – 2016

Dark garnet red without blue or purple notes. Layered nose offering tobacco leaf, dry spices, ripe cabernet with cassis, dark plum and herbaceous spicy notes. Good grip and concentration having just softened it feels, still a slight tannic presence, ample dark fruit notes with balanced oak and a long dense finish. A structured classic age worthy style starting to drink well today.
