Dense dark purple core. Fragrant nose of violet, ripe dark fruit like blackberry, plum, cassis and tobacco. Very dense and grippy palate, high concentration, packed with spicy dark fruit, and notes of cocoa bean. Rather opulent texture, very modest oak, just a hint of vanilla, a very long and muscular finish with nice layers, underlying freshness and supple fruit. Still youthful but obviously very potent.
