France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful red wine, still with a very inky core and a ruby rim. Modern nose here, showing off some new oak, hints of vanilla, ground spices and quite ripe sweet fruit. Good grip on the palate; I think this is a wine that has a nice density of fruit, dark plum, blackberry, cassis. The oak is more integrated on the palate than on the nose, so much more of a fruity expression. We have a youthful extract but nicely polished tannin. There’s nothing hard here, just a bit young and unevolved, but it should certainly gain roundness from further aging. Good purity of fruit, excellent freshness, a vibrant and quite long finish.
