France,
Bordeaux,
Youthful appearance here with a purple-blue hue. Quite intense and deep colour. Youthful on the nose here with a high degree of ripeness. Displaying macerated berries with sweet plum, combining red and dark fruit aromas, mainly blackcurrant. Also a slight hint of earthiness or minerality with a quite mild spices. Good grip on the palate. I would put this somewhere in the medium weight, but with a very dense structure. Gripy tannin. Very attractive and sweet fruit, with a lot of dark cherry and dark plum. Quite mild spiciness on the palate as well. No indication of oak. The fruit is really quite overt and generous at this stage. It is quite long lasting on the palate as well. So a lot of sweet fruit on the finish. Still appearing a bit youthful with that tannic presence. A wine that should open up nicely within the coming one to two years and it should keep for far longer than that.
