Very youthful and inky colour. A purple core. High density. Fine nose here. Good purity of fruit. High degree of ripeness. Really inky dark plum, cassis, with dark cherry. There is some anise seed, sage, in terms of spiciness. A fine level of oak. It has just a hint of butterscotch, vanilla and gentle roasted notes. Good grip on the palate. Fairly high concentration, without any hard edges. It feels like it already like the fruit and extract are coming together nicely. Still of course, there are very grainy tannins. So it gives a good lift to the ripe dark fruit. Fine level of acidity as well. Oak is already nicely integrated on the palate. I think it offers a lot of pleasure. I would call it approachable already. A long vigorous finish, with a good degree of freshness. Yeah, quite accessible today, but it certainly has more potential for further development. A fine example indeed.
